Manifold Installation and Steam Line Paint

On December 5, your SBRHS steam crew was hard at work painting a number of pieces on the locomotive. From steam dome sections to the oil can platform (which you normally see just above the firebox door), to piping for the independent brake stand and steam lines feeding off the fireman's manifold, it was certainly a busy day. The steam lines connecting to the fireman's manifold in particular were all hand painted, which for those of you who know hand painting in tight areas, required some serious patience to accomplish! By the end of the day, all the mentioned items had a beautiful new, coat of paint drying - bringing us one step closer to putting a fire back in 3751.
