On October 23, after hours upon hours of hard work cleaning, sanding and the painting of both a primer and final coat of paint - 3751's HC-2 brakestand was finally cleared to move up and reinstalled in the locomotive's cab. With the firebox door pieces receiving some final prep work on this day, it was decided to move the reinstallation of the brakestand to the following day so the forklift could move both into the cab, one after another.
