Welcome to the official website of the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society (SBRHS). The SBRHS is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization founded in 1981 and dedicated to the preservation of Santa Fe Railroad operating and mechanical documentation and the maintenance and operation of former Santa Fe steam locomotive 3751.
Past contributions and volunteer power
have helped transform steam locomotive 3751 from a rusting display in a park into one of the country's
premier passenger steam locomotives. Now our focus has shifted to maintaining the locomotive and searching
for a permanent covered home. Come on out and help, we can always use an extra hand!
It is largely agreed that no other invention helped to build America more then the steam locomotive. The steam locomotive allowed the nation to forge westward and was a spark that helped usher in the industrial revolution. Steam locomotives were for decades the backbone of the American economy that helped us become the global leader we are today.
Today, few of these steam locomotives remain and even fewer still continue in operation. If you - or
your company or corporation - would like to become involved in the continued preservation and operation of this important artifact, please feel free to contact us at the addresses below or follow the SUPPORT button to see how you can best help. Your donation of money, time, or materials will help us continue to preserve, and present, this valuable part of America’s living railroad history.
