Support The SBRHS Support The SBRHS With A Donation To The Building Fund

The San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society has a special fund set up to accept donations that are earmarked specifically for the the erection of a building to house the 3751, a permanent home is the desired goal. This is a restricted account, and it's funds can only be used to create a home for the locomotive.

While the engine is stored at Redondo Junction in Los Angeles it is exposed to the elements - sun, wind, rain and dust. Fortunately, the building fund covers both the short and long term needs of storing the engine - an in-expensive temporary tent structure performs the short term needs, and the long term needs are being negotiated with several local municipalities while the fund grows. The temporary tent structure will be completed and raised before the end of the year, while the long term solution is being worked out as we speak with a projected timetable of 3 - 10 years.
