Support The SBRHS About The San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society

The SBRHS was formed in 1981 to restore Santa Fe locomotive 3751, and is composed of hundreds of individuals interested in the heritage and preservation of “The Steam Era”. Accountants, artists, small business owners, dentists, designers, engineers, railroaders, retired railroaders, pharmacists, painters, truck drivers, mechanics, welders, politicians, and lawyers all work side by side with the same goals in mind.

Our primary focus has been the complete restoration and operation of 3751, with a secondary focus of collecting historically relevant pieces of Santa Fe heritage for preservation. With our primary task of restoration completed, the organization has now turned to protecting the engine from the elements. The engine, tool car, reefer car, and the organization’s growing collection needs a permanent home where it can be shared with future generations.

Past contributions and volunteer power have helped transform steam locomotive 3751 from a rusting display in a park into one of the country's premier passenger steam locomotives. Now we need to complete the job we set out to do and put a roof over the collection! Come on out and help, we can always use an extra hand!

If you - or your company or corporation - would like to become involved with this diverse group of Southern California enthusiasts, please follow this link to our supporter application and follow the instructions. Your donation of money, time, or materials will help us continue to preserve a valuable part of America’s living railroad history.
